How to remove pet stains and odors like a pro - DIY guide!

In this short article, I am going to show you how to remove pet stains and odor, just like the pros!

Save time and money, do it yourself, guide!

All of the tools and chemicals in this article are available in our store!

The first step is to locate the source of the problem. The pros primarily use two tools to do this.

Use a black light to find where your pet did the deed!

Next, measure the area of the problem. This is done by using a moisture detector.

Now get a bucket and add some warm water.

Then add some carpet shampoo to the warm water in your bucket.

Then get a scrub brush and dip it into your soapy water and scrub the area with the pet damage.

You do not need to soak the carpet but get it wet enough to do the job!

Now extract the water with a wet-dry vacuum.

Repeat this two to three times until you have removed all of the urine that you can with this method.

Now grab some OSR and mix 8 oz per 1 gallon of HOT water. You need enough water to soak the entire area of urine damage, for big problem areas this could be two to three gallons per area.

Now dump the entire bucket of water with OSR onto the urine damaged area, and let sit for 30 minutes.

Now grab your wet-dry vacuum and a water claw and extract out all of the OSR. Push down with some weight to make sure you get the water out of the pad.

If this is a real problem area you may need to repeat the OSR process again.

Now fill your bucked up with clean hot water and use your scrub brush just like you did in the first step, and rinse the area, and extract the water with your wet-dry vacuum.

Place an air mover on the area to dry the carpet. This will take a few hours depending on conditions.

Use your moisture detector to make sure the area is dry before you remove the fan.

If there is a small amount of residual odor left you can spray some enzyme deodorizer on the area.

Spray enough to keep the area wet for a few hours, but you do not need to completely soak the area.

Repeat the enzyme deodorizer until the smell is completely gone!
